High force-to-size linear motor boosts accuracy, repeatability

MOTICONT GVCM-022-013-01 Linear Voice Coil Servo Motor is a compact .875 in. (22.2 mm) diameter providing high speed, high force-to-size, while  featuring high accuracy and high repeatability when operated in a closed loop as a dc servo motor.  The brushless servo motor is clean, quiet and has long life, low mass and high acceleration/deceleration for high throughput. Product is suitable for haptic feedback, medical devices, wafer handling, optical focusing, dynamic vibration absorption, work holding and clamping, assembly, testing, positioning, scanners, laser beam steering, laser speckle correction and filtering. The 0.094 in. (2.4mm) diameter shaft has a 2-56 UNC-2A thread and exerts 14.5 oz. (4.0 N) of continuous force and 45.7 oz (12.7 N) peak force with a 0.25 in. (6.4 mm) stroke. The housing length is 0.500 in. (12.7mm) long, the shaft extension is 0.54 in. (13.5 mm) for a total length (including shaft) of 1.22 in. (31 mm).
