40-nm FPGA family boosts density performance, system bandwidth

ALTERA Stratix IV GX FPGAs includes EP4SGX230 40-nm device with large density, high performance, high system bandwidth and low power solution. Device delivers 230K logic elements (LEs), 36 embedded transceivers operating up to 8.5Gbps, 17Mbits of RAM and 1,288 embedded multipliers. Leveraging the 40-nm process node, product family is comprised of two variants, an enhanced (E) version and transceiver-based (GX) version. Devices also support DDR3 memory interface speeds of 1067 Mbps.
