VCR Inc. 1M_WDR series of Mega pixel Wide Dynamic Range cameras provide an extra sensitive CMOS sensor that is purported to capture crystal clear pictures under various lighting conditions. With a special night mode, it permits viewing scenes at night in full color at 1280 x 800 pixels without requiring IR illuminations. Sized like a dollar coin and 15mm in height with a lens, the device fits in tight spots. Consuming about 1 W of power, unit generates little heat, uses no moving parts and is not subject to vibration even under strong winds, thus it is practically maintenance free. A PoE connection to firm’s standalone MV2A Server allows images to be sent to VGA monitors, to the optional attached hard drives, as well as over the IP network, and to remote devices such as iPhone/iPAD and Androids. An SDK, integration support and a standard board camera format is also available so OEM customers can continue using their existing camera housing.
