Micro dc-dc converter advances mobile device miniaturization

MURATA LXDC micro dc-dc converter series provides ultra-compact size and EMI noise suppression. Models LXDC2UR and LXDC3EP are among the smallest dc-dc converters (at 600mA and 1A current ratings, respectively) that also incorporate the I/O capacitors into the same package. LXDC55B series is available at 3A. Product line embeds the power inductor within the actual ferrite substrate. By utilizing this structure, the IC can be mounted directly above the power inductor coil with almost no pattern length to diminish leakage radiation noise.
