1/16th brick dc-dc provides 300W at high efficiency

FLEX POWER MODULES PKU4317D series of dc-dc converters come in an industry-standard, low profile, 1/16th brick format, 33.02 x 22.86 x 11.3mm. Device operates over an input range of 48 – 60Vdc with a regulated and adjustable output of 12Vdc rated at 25 A/300W. Product provides efficiency at 96.4% and 48 Vin and half load, remaining above 95% from light to full load with advanced thermal design allowing a wide hot-spot operating temperature of -40°C to +125°C. Isolation rating is 2250Vdc input to output, and meets safety requirements according to IEC/EN/UL 62368-1. MTBF is 11.8 million hours according to Telcordia SR-332 Issue 2 Method 1 at +40°C. The product is fully protected against overtemperature, input under voltage and output over-voltage, over-current and short circuits. Start-up into a pre-biased load is possible and is monotonic. A remote-control input is also provided.PKU4317D is now available for sampling as well as for volume production.
