Symposium on Counterfeit Parts and Materials
This event brings together experts and stakeholders to address the critical issue of counterfeit components and materials in the electronic manufacturing industry.
The Symposium on Counterfeit Parts and Materials is organized by SMTA in conjunction with the Center for Advanced Life Cycle Engineering (CALCE) at the University of Maryland, College Park, MD, USA.
Join fellow experts and stakeholders gathering to discuss the issue of fake components and imitation materials being sourced in the manufacture of electronic products. The main objective of the symposium is to raise awareness about the dangers and consequences of using counterfeit materials, and to encourage the implementation of measures to prevent and mitigate the spread of counterfeit parts. Topics of discussion may include the impact of counterfeit materials on public safety, the economy, and the environment, as well as strategies for detecting and stopping the production and sale of counterfeit parts and materials.
