Electronics Power Supply / ManagementSCHURTER SCPA, SCPB, SCPC Prismatic Supercapacitors are super-thin, with a thickness of 0.4mm. Devices combine certain properties of rechargeable batteries with those of capacitors, as they can store enormous amounts of energy this way and release it again very quickly, which makes them particularly valuable for many applications. Compared to rechargeable batteries of the same weight, supercapacitors only have around 10% of the energy density. However, their power density is around 10 to a 100 times greater. Supercapacitors can therefore be charged and discharged much faster. They also withstand many more charging cycles than rechargeable batteries and are therefore suitable as a replacement or supplement wherever high switching loads are required. Devices are suitable for demanding applications that require high capacitance in the most compact dimensions. For example, in mobile devices, wearable electronics, sensor technology, small power supplies or devices with mobile energy generation and uninterruptible power supplies.
