Eye-safe operation laser diodes deliver automatic power control

ARIMA LASERS 520nm series of green laser diodes provide additional protection in all applications requiring eye-safe operation. The integrated automatic power control (APC) switches off the laser source as soon as a certain operating current level is exceeded. The chip not only contains the electronics as an ASIC circuit but a photodiode as well. Devices are installed in a 3.3mm to housing, which protects them from electrostatic discharges up to 10kV. Depending on the model, devices guarantee a stable output power of 5mW or 10mW at supply voltages of 5.8V to 7.0 Vdc. Product pulse width can be modulated up to 2MHz.
