BRP Inc., Valcourt QC, has completed its acquisition of substantially all of the assets related to sports activities vehicles of Kongsberg Inc. in Shawinigan QC, a subsidiary of Kongsberg Automotive ASA.
KA Shawinigan is a leader in the development and manufacture of electronic and mechatronic products and a long-time supplier to BRP. This acquisition is part of BRP’s product strategy, particularly its electrification plan. It should allow the Company to acquire additional expertise in mechatronics and strengthen its innovation capabilities. BRP welcomes more than 300 highly qualified employees, specialized in the development and manufacture of key components for several of its product lines.
For the past 80-years, BRP has become a global industry leader in powersports products, propulsion systems and boats.
