The Finland-based AC drives manufacturer Vacon is establishing a firmer foothold in North America by setting up a subsidiary here in Canada. The official opening of the office, located in Stratford, Ontario, is today. The inaugural speech will be given by Mr. Risto Piipponen, Finland’s Ambassador to Canada.
"With the acquisition of TB Wood’s electronics 18 months ago, we also acquired operations in Canada. We want to provide sales and after market services close to customers in the Canadian market, and we will invest in this market also in the future," said Mr. Dan Isaksson, President of Vacon Canada Inc.
