KEYNOTE ADDRESS: Ethan Escowitz, ARRIS Founder and CEO
Session Description: We increasingly demand more features from thinner and lighter devices, but we’re hitting the limits of enclosures and mechanical component designs using legacy materials and manufacturing processes. Software and electronics continue to evolve rapidly, yet the manufacturing technologies that dictate hardware design have barely changed. Moore’s Law has characterized electronic progress within devices, however the mechanical exteriors haven’t kept up. ARRIS is changing all that.
Breakthrough
Arris’s breakthrough materials and manufacturing technologies allow the creation of high-performance parts and enclosures that far exceed the performance of today’s premium aluminum devices. In addition, better scalability, new design latitudes (including multi-material parts), exceptional surface quality and small complex features open opportunities to improve portable devices. A new toolbox has arrived for leading device manufacturers that enables the next-generation of ultrathin, ultralight, wearable electronics.
What does this mean for us as consumers? More beautifully integrated devices that will fundamentally change the user experience.
Join Ethan to discuss these new design possibilities which industry-leading product companies are taking advantage of to make the previously impossible.
