SecurTek / Sasktel announce the launch of SecurTek Home Manager.

<divSecurTek along with its partner Home Automated Living, has announced the launch of the SecurTek Home Manager service – a centralized, whole-home automation system that is the first of its kind in Canada.

SecurTek Home Manager is a voice command home automation system that allows customers to automate their home’s environmental, power and entertainment systems. A monitored SecurTek security system is integrated into SecurTek Home Manager. Unlike other home automation systems, SecurTek installs and manages the system so customers do not require extensive technical knowledge.

Customers can control many home systems with SecurTek Home Manager, including their security system, heating, cooling, irrigation, entertainment systems, lighting and even their personal computer. They can communicate with the system in a number of ways, including by phone, PDA, microphone system and the internet. The system allows customers to save energy by turning off lights, TVs and other devices, and by turning down the furnace or air conditioner when no one is home.

SecurTek Home Manager will be available in markets currently served by SecurTek and its network of dealers. SecurTek operates in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Nova Scotia.
