Zero ohm SOT23 jumpers eliminate pcb redesign headaches

December 20, 2018  Stephen Law

TOPLINE Near zero-ohm SOT23 Jumper components short out printed circuit board circuitry (pcb) without the need to redesign or spin a whole new board. Devices are available in a variety of component outlines and connect (short-out) specific pins together with less than 50 milli-ohms resistance. Devices are a quick and easy way to replace unneeded circuits. As an example, SOT23 Jumpers mount on the pcb using normal SAC305 lead-free solder paste, just like regular components. Product series withstands 75Vdc at 100mA with 350mW power dissipation. Device’s operating temperature ranges from -65⁰C to +150⁰C. Standard and halogen-free versions are available. Other versions with up to 8 shorted pins are available.
