Transceiver operates in low interference 5.8GHz ISM band

Altan Technologies ALT5801 transceiver operates in the low interference, license-free 5.8 GHz ISM band, avoiding the over-crowded, heavy signal traffic of the 915MHz and 2.45GHz ISM bands, improving wireless link reliability. The compact wireless module implements the full ZigBee / IEEE 802.15.4 feature set, and has very low power requirements. Product supports a mesh networking system, up to 29 channels for larger systems, and can be readily used with either a RS232 or USB interface.
