KEMET ALF20 and ALF40 series press-fit, snap-in aluminum electrolytic capacitors eliminate the need for solder, as well as the associated production and quality issues. Devices provide reliable electrical contact and the same vibration performance as soldered snap-in terminals. Both series provide high ripple currents, improved surge capability and long-life performance. Model ALF2 delivers voltages up to 600Vdc, with a lifetime up to 18,000 hours at +85°C. Model ALF40 delivers voltages up to 500Vdc, with a lifetime up to 9,000 hours at +105°C. Benefits include skipping the soldering process and eliminating fractured/cold solder joints, easy insertion after the production washing process, and the capability to exchange components in the field. Both series are available in four and five-pin configurations.
