RENESAS RZ/V2L AI microprocessors enable entry-level AI while touting several robust features found with its predecessor (RZ/V2M), including best-in-class power efficiency and high-precision AI acceleration. MPUs feature firm’s exclusive Dynamically Reconfigurable Processor for AI (DRP-AI), which enables the microprocessor to support various image processing uses, including colour correction and noise reduction of input/output images. Driving the device is a 1.2GHz dual-core Arm Cortex-A55 CPU with an Arm Mali-G31 3D graphics engine. Devices are available in 15mm or 21mm BGA packages, both of which are pin-compatible with firm’s RZ/G2L to allow easy upgrading and software reusability without modifying the system configuration.
