FPGAs alleviate memory bottlenecks
XILINX Virtex UltraScale+ HBM FPGAs alleviate memory bottlenecks with integrated HBM. Devices are suitable for latency-sensitive workloads that process large datasets such as adaptable AI inference; database acceleration and data analytics; video transcoding; security processing. With devices with up to 8GB currently in production, the 16GB version is sampling now and entering production this fall. Products provide high on-chip memory density with up to 500Mb of total on-chip integrated memory, plus up to 16GB of high-bandwidth memory (HBM) Gen2 integrated in-package for 460GB/s of memory bandwidth. Device’s embedded HBM controller and enhanced integration enables maximum bandwidth, efficient routing complexity and optimized power efficiency for compute, storage and network applications.
