Cooling platform embraces AFT per VITA 48.8 standard

ELMA ELECTRONIC Type 39A CompacFrame next-gen cooling platform accelerates development and test of plug-in cards (PICs) aligned to the SOSA Technical Standard 1.0 and VITA 65 OpenVPX. Platform accepts up to five 1-slot VPX power & ground backplanes for plug-in cards on 1”, 1.2” or 1.5” pitch designed for use with VITA 48.8 air flow-through (AFT) cooling. Platform facilitates new card and system design implementations and testing for a range of rugged environments, including electronic warfare (EW), C5ISR, target tracking and display, navigation systems and threat detection as well as in sensor payloads and image and data processing applications.
