Compact dc-dc converter saves space in mobile equipment, industrial designs

TRACO POWER THN 15N series of 15 Watt dc-dc converters in the standard 1×1 inch package utilizes the latest advancements in power technology design to meet EMI Level A standards without external components and reduced no-load power consumption of 96-336mW and efficiencies up to 91%. The compact, high-performance devices address power conversion requirements in mobile equipment, instrumentation, distributed power architectures and industrial electronics applications, particularly when space is limited in pcb designs. Devices provide a wide 2:1 input range of 9-18 / 18-36 / 36-75 Vin with single and dual outputs ranging from 3.3 to 24Vdc. High efficiency operation of 86 to 91% enables a full-load operating temperature range of -40°C to +70°C (up to 105°C with derating).
