DIGI-KEY Arduino MKR GSM 1400 learning and development board provides cost-effective and practical solutions for users seeking to add global system of mobile (GSM) connectivity to their projects. Suitable for users who have minimal experience in networking, unit is based on the Atmel SAMD21 and SARAU201 GSM module. Board can be powered with a lithium-ion polymer (LiPo) battery or an external 5 V source and switches from one source to another automatically. Board comes with a rich set of I/O interfaces, GSM communication, 32-bit computational power, and the ease-of-use of the Arduino integrated development environment (IDE) software for code development and programming. The features make it suitable for emerging IoT battery-powered projects in a compact form factor.
