The 2015 International CES will spotlight startup entrepreneurs and innovation across the technology spectrum in an expanded Eureka Park Marketplace at CES Tech West. The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) also announced new areas and events at CES dedicated to the startup community, including the Startup Stage. Owned and produced by the CEA, the 2015 CES runs January 6-9, in Las Vegas.

An anchor for the startup community at CES, the 2015 Eureka Park Marketplace will feature more than 375 exhibitors, 59 percent more than the 2014 CES. Presented by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and UP Global, Eureka Park provides a platform for new companies to introduce their innovations to venture capitalists, media and buyers. Eureka Park also features concentrated exhibits from startups originating in France and Israel, as well as exclusive exhibits from Indiegogo and TechCrunch’s Hardware Battlefield finalists.

The CEA announced that MaiTai Global Inc. will hold the semi-finals of the Extreme Tech Challenge at CES. The Extreme Tech Challenge (XTC) brings together targeted resources and world-class advisors to help high-energy entrepreneurs execute their ideas.

The XTC semi-finals will take place 2-3:30 PM Thursday January 8 at The Venetian. The top 10 XTC semi-finalists will be invited to the event and asked to present to the XTC Judges Circle. The event will be broadcast live and three finalists will be selected and invited to the finals to be held on Necker Island on February 6, with Sir Richard Branson as the special guest judge.
