Frequency converters deliver 2kVA sine wave voltage in harsh environments

ABSOPULSE ELECTRONICS FC 2K-3U5 series rugged ac-ac frequency converters are designed for applications that require clean, reliable ac-power in industrial automation, mining, marine, power utilities, and transportation applications. Products use field-proven, microprocessor controlled high frequency PWM technology to deliver up to 2kVA pure sine wave output voltage from 115V, 230Vac or a 95-264Vac universal PFC input. High frequency conversion enables compact construction, low weight, and high efficiency. Units are built with internal power modules. The ac-dc input stage boosts the input voltage to generate 115Vac at 60Hz/400Hz, or 230Vac at 50Hz. The output is regulated to ±6% from no load to full load; ±2% is available on request. Typical conversion efficiency is 78% at full load. Heavy filtering on the input and output ensures low noise and compliance with EN55032 Class A, with wide margins. The units meet the requirements of EN62368-1 and equivalent safety standards.
