Topic: Are you ready for a digital transformation?
EPTECH Waterloo

Tuesday, October 29 • 9:00am • Bingemans Conference Centre
Speaker: Irene Sterian, President & CEO, ReMAP
Director, Technology and Innovation, Celestica

Hardware, software, and AI are being applied to factory automation, robots, co-robots, AR/VR. Over the next five to ten years, 50% of the car will be redesigned, and 40% of it will be electronics; how can we leverage our knowledge of automotive in this region, and electronify the car in Canada?

Automation and the future of work will be bright. As manufactured products and processes become more complex and productive, they give rise to a host of new jobs. Modern information and communication technologies are merging into production technologies to form a new stage of value creation. Digitization integrates processes vertically across the entire organization, from product development and purchasing, through manufacturing, logistics and service. Horizontal integration stretches beyond the internal operations from suppliers to customers and all key value chain partners.

New strategies require manufacturing earlier in the design cycle from product design to process development, creating new business models, faster time to market, and export strategies. Is your company ready for this digital transformation?

Irene will focus on:
– Why manufacturing matters in the global economy
– How the future of work will change, but will not disappear
– What you can do today to accelerate your digital journey
