Optical Control Americas has entered a manufacturers’ representative agreement with G2 Manufacturing, which will represent the firm’s class-leading component counting technology throughout Western Canada.

“We keep growing and adding ‘best in the industry’ partners, and John Gilby is no exception,” commented Todd O’Neil, VP of business development at optical control. “His industry knowledge, professionalism and customer relationships in this growing territory are an important part of our growth.”

The CCX X-ray from optical control is a true plug-and-play system that can X-ray ANY size reel in the same cycle time no matter type of component, or how full or empty it is. High speed combined with the best accuracy, it is capable of providing an ROI faster than any other machine. The highlight of the CCX is – there are no libraries required or need for customer input to get started. It’s as simple as plugging in the machine, and start counting, according to O’Neil.

The machine also can be configured for complete automation, including integrations into other systems such as automated storage units. Whether this is done by software only, using a loading and unloading unit, or complete integration, is up to the customer in their steps toward industry 4.0.

“The optical control CCX product line has the reputation as a fast, accurate, plug-and-play solution that fits perfectly with our existing products,” says John Gilby, president and founder of G2 Manufacturing. “The industry is placing so much emphasis on inventory management recently, and we feel the CCX will fill a much-needed void. My team and I are excited to be partnering with optical control.”

optical control Americas is part of the Elsysko group, sister of elektron systeme, a full-service EMS firm in Weißenohe, Germany.
