It’s been a busy month for the Okanagan tech community. From the Regional Innovation Opportunities Tour, to Entrepreneurs Unplugged, to the official opening of the new Okanagan Centre for Innovation later this month — there’s no end in sight for the amount of tech-based fun you can have in the Okanagan and Sunday night StartUp Weekend was no exception.

Earlier this month, 10 teams competed in the Startup challenge where developers, designers, marketers, product managers, and startup enthusiasts alike came together to share ideas, form teams, build products, and launch startups.

Startup Weekend Okanagan is a 54-hour event where individuals from all parts of the Okanagan experience the highs, lows, fun, and pressure that make up startup life. Over the course of the weekend, participants learn how to build a real company from idea to execution, and have their pitches critiqued by technology leaders in the community.

The Sunday Demo Night event was held at the Okanagan Centre for Innovation and featured the weekend’s participants pitching their ideas to local startup heavy weights.
