The annual HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) and electronicAsia will be held concurrently at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 13-16 October 2016. The two fairs will gather more than 4,100 exhibitors from across the globe, representing the world’s largest electronics marketplace to showcase a wide variety of intelligent products, innovative technology and electronic components.
Entering its 36th edition, the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) is organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), while the 20th electronicAsia is jointly organised by the HKTDC and MMI Asia Pte Ltd. In the 2015 editions, the twin fairs attracted a total of around 96,000 buyers from some 150 countries and regions.
Benjamin Chau, Deputy Executive Director, HKTDC, said, “October is the sourcing peak season in the year. Being one of the leading industry trade fairs in the region, the Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) features the latest technology trends and developments. This year, two new zones, Virtual Reality (VR) and Innovation & Start-up Zone, will be launched at the Fair to cater to the market demand. Together with the concurrent electronicAsia, the two events will create a bundle of crossover business opportunities between the exhibitors and buyers.”
The Electronics Fair features all kinds of electronic products categorised under themed product zones for effective sourcing. Nowadays, many electronics and video game companies invest in the development of Virtual Reality technology. A new zone on Virtual Reality (VR) will be launched at the Electronics Fair this year, featuring a variety of VR equipment and applications. Another new highlight is the debut Innovation & Start-up Zone, which offers an ideal platform for start-ups to showcase their innovative ideas to international buyers.
Held concurrently with the Electronics Fair, electronicAsia creates an unrivalled platform for suppliers of electronic components and production technologies to showcase their products to international buyers. A new zone of Integrated Circuit will be launched this year to present the latest models of micro-electronic components, gathering related manufacturers for more effective sourcing.
