Assemblers of precision connectors and cable assemblies PEI-Genesis, Philadelphia PA, has acquired Arizona-based FilConn Inc., manufacturer of precision high reliability filter, transient suppression and custom configured connectors for the MilAero, medical, transit and oil/gas industries.
The purchase allows the company to better serve customers’ needs for low volume, quick turn, custom connectors, according to Steven Fisher, CEO of PEI-Genesis.
“We consider ourselves a design focused company that solves customers’ technical problems. This acquisition enhances that capability, further encouraging our customers to partner with us from the initial stages of design through delivery,” says Fisher.
Value-add disty deal with Esterline Connection
PEI-Genesis has also recently entered into an authorized value-add distribution partnership with Esterline Connection Technologies – SOURIAU. The partnership will expand the company’s already broad offering of harsh environment, high performance, value-add connectors.
“Because we are a SUNBANK distributor partner, we already have a close working relationship with the Esterline team,” says Fisher. “Expanding our partnership allows for the SOURIAU products to be available through PEI’s unique high mix, low volume channel. The SOURIAU products will now be available to customers wanting a highly tailored solution – and quickly – along with exceptional service and engineering support.”
