The second edition this event takes place at the MaRS Discovery Centre in Toronto on September 28th and 29th. The conference revolves around the smart home, the Internet of Things (IoT), and the connected consumer markets in Canada, where Keynote speakers Ohad Zeira (director of IoT, VERIZON) and Stuart Lombard (founder of ECOBEE) will address participants and lead discussions on the future and design of the industry.

The conference offers its participants sessions and workshops, lead by 50+ experts, which include speakers from Telus, Rogers, Best Buy, PowerStream, Tridel, Direct Energy, Ford Motors, Indiegogo, Frost & Sullivan, and Ericsson. These leaders in their fields will lead discussions on the industry through 6 main learning streams:

2) Home Automation

3) Connected Condos

4) Connected Health

5) Smart Energy

6) Smart Security

The CONNECTED+ Innovation Hub, which hosts over 20 innovative companies and start-ups in the field of the smart home, IoT and connected solutions, showcases the latest Canadian technologies and solutions. Companies like Freescale, RadialPoint, Mircom and ROC Connect  will be present.

“Professionals in the smart home and the IoT industry constantly face new challenges. As a result, they find themselves overwhelmed with the different protocols, consumer preferences and the increasing rate of competition in the market, especially from giants such as Google and Amazon,” says event coordinator Valentin Caudan.  “The Canadian market is in need for a unified and collaborate forum to exchange ideas, and form long-lasting, strategic partnerships.”
