Vishay Precison Group demonstrates how safe charging of Li-ion batteries avoids catastrophic failures
March 12, 2014 Staff
Li-ion battery chargers are complex and challenging circuits – and can explode. They require accurate current and voltage settings and monitoring, as well as a constant current and constant voltage to avoid either undercharging (which results in reduced capacity) or overcharging (which can result in catastrophic failure).
