Nav Canada partners on global satellite air traffic control scheme

Electronics CELAir traffic services provider Nav Canada will be part of a joint venture that will air traffic authorities to use satellites to track airplanes in real time globally to help improve passenger safety, airline efficiency and save fuel costs. Nav Canada will be part of a joint venture called Aireon, along with U.S. satellite provider Irridium Communications Inc. The venture will also have the support of the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration.
