The Strategic Microelectronics Council (SMC) will be hosting a best practice forum titled "65 and 45nm Design Challenges: Is First Time Success a Thing of the Past?" Cormac O’Connell, a representative from TSMC will describe the latest process technologies as well as the improved design environments available to ensure first-time success. Patrick Boutard, with PMC-Sierra, will share his real world experiences from a user’s viewpoint and all participants will share of their own company’s experiences to provide a note of real-world caution. The forum takes place Tuesday, October 7 starting at 5:30 at the Octasic Inc. offices in Montreal.
