Detailed technical information throughout 316 pages helps design engineers select suitable varistors. The data book features leaded disk varistors, thermoFuse (ETFV) and fail-safe varistors (SFS), block varistors, and strap varistors. Highlights include new disk varistors: Superior S25 series (Ø 25 mm) with very high surge-current handling capability (20 kA @ 8/20 μs), as well as the new AdvanceD-MP (Ø 10 and 14 mm) and Superior-MP series (Ø 20 mm) for multiple pulse handling capability; and new fail-save series (SFS14): Disk varistors with a flame-retardant package to UL 94 V-0 ensure that components located in the immediate proximity of the varistors will not be damaged in the event of an overvoltage (according to specified overvoltage test).
