Small SMD power inductors perform like larger types

SUMIDA CD30D22 Series power inductors are halogen-free and RoHS compliant designed for use in portable devices and dc-dc converters with high-density power circuitry. Product’s magnetically unshielded design allows higher inductance values than many other coils of similar volume. Device measures jut 3.6 x 3.0 x 2.2mm, with about two-thirds of its footprint devoted to circuit contact area. Inductance values range from 1.0μH – 270μH over 21 parts. DCR is as low as 28.7mOhm (typical @ 20C).  Current handling capabilities are also above average, with a full-rated temperature range of -40C to +125C. http://www.sumida.com
