ALLEGRO SSC2101S dual-phase DCM interleaved PFC controller IC improves efficiency and reduces EMI noise and is suitable for use in active power factor correction (PFC) converters. Two boost regulators operating 180-degrees out of phase in Discontinuous Conduction Mode (DCM) enables all switching to be done at zero current. Zero current switching improves efficiency and reduces switching noise and stress on components over a wide range of input voltage and output loadings.
