SecureTech 2012 an international omnibus conference held in conjunction with a 100 booth trade show, will be held at the Ottawa Convention Centre in Ottawa Canada on October 30th and 31st.

The event, produced by the Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries (CADSI), will feature international keynote speakers and panelists primarily from the UK, the US, and Canada. The concurrent trade show is expected to attract some 1500 visitors from around the world.

SecureTech is targeted at policy makers, regulators, end users, and the industrial suppliers of related products, technology and services. One of the objectives of this conference is to offer an international platform to explore issues that are too often addressed in silos. Debate will extend beyond borders to encourage dialogue amongst stakeholders, the exploration of implementation options, and ways to promote shared solutions to common threats.

SecureTech 2012 will be held under the theme ‘the economics of security’ and will explore two intricately related security issues: Perimeter Security and Cyber Security – both of which are at the forefront of many national agendas. As such, the recent Canada-US Border Action Plan will serve as a backdrop to the day’s discussions centered on intelligence sharing, resilience, law enforcement, interoperability and communications.
