Toronto-based chain of electronic parts retailer Sayal Electronics, has opened its largest store ever in Markham ON, boasting more than 15,000-square-feet of floor space, as well as the most inventory of all its seven stores nationwide.
Carrying everything from antennas and attenuators to varistors and wire, SAYAL Electronics is also an electronic parts distributor stocking a wide selection of electronic components, tools and test instruments.
“This store carries more inventory and a greater variety of it, plus a much greater emphasis on educational robotics and educational toys for the beginner engineer,” says CEO Paul Sayal, who founded the company 33 years ago using approximately 200-sq. ft. in his basement at home.
Set-up and merchandised as a traditional retail store, the new Markham location is very user friendly.
“It is unique and customer-friendly, with most merchandise positioned at eye-level,” adds Sayal, who spent eight years as an electronic technician with the Royal Air Force in the British Air Force .
Sayal expects the new store to attract festive season shoppers with its added attention to electronic toys, including 50 types of robots priced between $10 - $500, as well as more than 2,000 different types of electronic kits and brand names.
“No one in Toronto has this variety of hobby kits,” Sayal enthuses.
The Markham superstore is located at 7701 Woodbine Ave.,
Unit 1-3 (on the corner of 14th Ave.).
