MIS Electronics Inc., Richmond Hill ON, a custom manufacturer of electronic printed circuit boards (pcbs), captured silver as an Innovation-Exports Award winner as part of the recent 30th Ontario Business Achievement Awards (OBAA).
500 of Ontario’s business and civic leaders celebrated the Ontario Global Traders Awards (OGTA) event in Toronto recently. The Ontario Chamber of Commerce and the Government of Ontario have partnered with the Global Trader Awards since 2007. Sponsored by NRT Technologies and the Government of Ontario, Innovation-Exports Awards honour companies that have expanded exports and created jobs by developing and/or improving world leading products.

Aside from custom pcbs, MIS Electronics is also makes electronic control units (ECU) for anti brake systems, automated faucets and other electronic products. The core of its business is assembling pcbs based on clients’ specifications by using its four state-of-the-art automatic surface mount technology (SMT) assembly machines and supporting equipment.
Founded in 2001 by Saeid Mohmedi, who was the sole employee of the company at the time, the firm grew rapidly within a short span of time. By 2003 the plant occupied 8,000-square-feet to allow for improved SMT Lines and employed 40 people. MIS went on to provide turn-key services, lead-free manufacturing, and BGA services. Today, the company has expanded to include a modern leading-edge facility, covering more than 47,000-square-feet of space and employs 77 full time personnel.
