Delco Wire and Cable acquired by IEWC Canada

IEWC Canada, a global distributor of wire, cable and wire management products has finalized an asset sale agreement to acquire its competitor Delco Wire and Cable Ltd., Concord ON. Founded in 1974, Delco is a UL and CSA certified stocking distributor of wire, cable and provider of specialty services.

Delco Wire emerged as one of the industry leaders in the development and marketing of high-end digital audio and video cable. With a diverse group of product specialists and locations in Toronto, Tampa and Calgary, Delco has provided a consistently high level of service and reliable products to its customers for more than 38 years. Delco's Roger Caynor will join IEWC as vice-president of the audio & roadcast market vertical.

"Delco's strength's in the Audio & Broadcast markets will be leveraged by IEWC's strong global footprint and excellent customer service - a trait our customers are well accustomed to,” says Caynor. “The two companies have very similar business models, as well as supporting products and services. I am certain the Delco brand will be bolstered in the coming years and am excited about the future opportunities our customers will get as we become a part of the IEWC team."

IEWC was founded in 1962 and has positioned itself as a global distributor of wire, cable and wire management products focused primarily on the OEM and sub-assembly markets. IEWC is now beginning to emerge as one of the industry leaders in the supply of high-end digital audio and video cables. Headquartered in Milwaukee, WI, the company also has distribution centers and sales offices in Cleveland, Boston, Greenville, Dallas, Phoenix, San Francisco, Toronto, Montreal, Aguascalientes, Monterrey, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Frankfurt, Bristol and Sao Paulo.
