Avnet Embedded inks disty deal with MiTAC Computing Technology

To alleviate market pressure due to diminishing industry support for desktop motherboards, Avnet Embedded has reached a new distribution agreement with MiTAC Computing Technology Corp. (MiTAC Computing Technology), a subsidiary of MiTAC Holdings Corp., a global designer and manufacturer of cloud database and computing equipment.

Avnet Embedded can now offer its Americas customers in industries including industrial, energy, security and surveillance, gaming, kiosk, military/aerospace, education, and healthcare/medical innovative new applications within the IoT space with alternative boards from MiTAC Computing Technology that mirror the connectivity and capabilities of devices being transitioned out of production.

MiTAC Computing Technology’s product line includes next-generation embedded motherboards, including all-in-one and thin-client computing devices, as well as standard, mobile and radiant point-of-sale solutions.
