In October 2015, Vestechpro, the Centre for research and innovation in apparel, in collaboration with the Bureau de la mode de Montréal, was the first host of Wear It Smart, a conference entirely dedicated to smart clothing and accessories. More than300 technophiles, including several experts of international renown, researchers, professionals and entrepreneurs were able to share their know-how and their vision for future products and services.

Vestechpro aims to maintain the diversity of sectors present at the 2nd edition of the event, considering this crucial to the development of optimal solutions in the wearables market. This year, participants will reflect on user experience, the fundamental issue concerning progress for wearables creators.

Building on the success of Wear It Smart 2015, Vestechpro continues its leadership role in innovation and consolidates Montreal’s position as a key player in the apparel industry, by raising awareness of the numerous business opportunities offered by wearable technologies.  A rapidly developing area, wearables offer excellent future opportunities to many industries, in particular those in the health and sports sectors.
