D-Wave and Fixstars collaborate on quantum computing

Burnaby BC-based quantum computing systems and software creator D-Wave Systems Inc., will collaborate with Fixstars Corp. of Japan to advance the growth of quantum computing. 

Fixstars is a leader in providing CPU/GPU/FPGA acceleration technologies, using its software parallelization and optimization expertise. Fixstars is now launching a professional service to help organizations realize the benefits and advantages of D-Wave quantum computers.

“Recent successful developments in practical applications of D-Wave’s quantum annealing system have created strong interest in quantum computing,” says Prof. Hidetoshi Nishimori of the Tokyo Institute of Technology, who first proposed the idea of quantum annealing.
