Toronto-based business law firm Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP recently launched an innovative new program called Nitro that provides access to top-tier legal services for emerging technology companies.

“Emerging technology is critical to the future of the Canadian economy and Blakes is dedicated to supporting its development,” says Rob Granatstein, firm managing partner.

“To show our commitment we are allocating an initial CND$1-million worth of flexible and subsidized legal services to qualified emerging technology companies.”

The program will start in the Toronto to Waterloo tech corridor, a fast-growing and world-leading emerging technology cluster. It will be overseen by an experienced team of Blakes lawyers with complementary skillsets, including extensive experience in working with start-ups.
