Globalive’s Anthony Lacavera to Headline Speaker Line-up

The 6th annual Canadian Wireless Trade Show slated for the Toronto Congress Centre October 26-27 is expected to attract 100 North American exhibitors and some 2,000 attendees to share the latest innovations in wireless technology and prepare for what’s next in mobility.

During the conference portion of the show, thought leaders including Anthony Lacavera, Founder & Chairman at Globalive Holdings, and Dan North, Chief Economist Euler Hermes North America, will share insights on the industry and economy, and how to succeed in today’s marketplace.

“Recognizing trends and staying at the forefront of wireless technology innovation is a major challenge for all those involved in the wireless ecosystem in Canada and the U.S.,” said Jay Gawri, Director of Exhibitions and Marketing for the Canadian Wireless Trade Show. “Our show is the only B2B wireless industry event in Canada and we offer it free to attend to share the wealth of experience and networking on hand.”

Lacavera will be the keynote speaker, kicking off the presentation line-up with a Fireside Chat hosted by Erin Bury, Managing Director of 88 Creative and frequent tech commentator on CTV News.

One of the highlights of this year’s show will be a drone demonstration by Gold Sponsor of the show Gap Wireless, a leading distributor of products and services for the mobile broadband and wireless markets. Paul Baur, UAV Product Line Manager at Gap Wireless, is a member of the Team Canada Drone Team and he will be demonstrating drone technology and even letting select attendees try their hand at flying drones.

Products and solutions from start-ups and established players in the wireless market will be showcased throughout the Congress Centre including:

* Accessories: dedicated to accessory manufacturers and distributors of mobile and wireless devices

* Innovation and Start-ups: featuring products and services from emerging companies

* Retail Solutions: bringing together services and solutions for retail applications

* Small Cell/ DAS/ Blackhaul/ Broadband/ Infrastructure: catering to those in the wireless infrastructure space

* Cloud Solutions: highlighting Cloud computing services & products.

“A recent report from the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association indicates there are 29,600,304 wireless subscribers in Canada, so we’re a very connected society relying on wireless for communications and commerce. That’s why the Canadian Wireless Trade Show presents such a major opportunity to stay ahead of the curve,” said Gawri.
