Lazaridis Institute seeks Top 10 Canadian tech scale-ups

Are you one of Canada’s Top 10 scale-up tech firms? If so, the Lazaridis Institute for the Management of Technology Enterprises at Wilfrid Laurier University wants you.

The Lazaridis Institute is travelling across Canada to find the most promising companies to join the first cohort of the Lazaridis Institute Scale Up Program. The educational institute is hosting roadshow events in five cities featuring engaging presentations from two high-profile entrepreneurs and investors, Chris Burry and Bill Reichert, both of whom have signed on as instructors in the program.

“We’re searching for the best young Canadian tech companies, firms whose founders are ready for their next,

explosive stage of growth,” said Micheál Kelly, dean of the Lazaridis School of Business & Economics. “The

Top 10 highest-potential companies will join our first cohort, receiving the support of experienced mentors and

growth experts from around the world. The roadshow events will demonstrate the type of practical, in-depth

content that will be offered to our program participants.”

Companies in high-growth tech firms and everyone in the tech ecosystem are welcome to attend these free events taking place in the following cities:

Waterloo ON –Aug. 22, 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Toronto – Aug. 23, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Ottawa – Aug. 24, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Montreal – Aug. 25, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Vancouver – Aug. 26, 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Chris Burry, co-CEO of US Market Access Center and Industry Fellow at the University of California Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology; and Bill Reichert, managing director and co-founder of Garage Technology Ventures.
