Orion Fans has designed a 60 mm, 24 Vdc fan that delivers airflow up to 86 CFM, an increase of more than 25% versus previously available DC fans.

The OD6038 XC Series fan offers a superior maximum static pressure value of 2.9 in. H20, more than three times that of competing fans on the market. Combining high airflow with high static pressure, the high-performance DC fan series is ideal for medical, networking and telecom equipment.

Made of PBT, UL94V-0 plastic, the OD6038 XC Series fan has a dual ball bearing design and brushless DC motor with auto restart and polarity-protection. The fan is specified for an L10 life expectancy of 50,000 hours.

“Fans and blowers typically deliver more airflow and cool more effectively when working against a lower static pressure,” said David Luna, VP Sales and Marketing at Orion Fans.

“Unfortunately, high static pressure environments are commonly found in networking and telecom enclosures, industrial electronic cabinets, medical imaging equipment, particularly CT scanners and MRIs.

“The OD6038 XC Series helps the design engineer overcome the static pressure limitations in their system.”

Special functions, including tachometer and pulse-width modulation (PWM) are available.

The DC fan has an operating temperature range of -20° to 70°C, a power rating of 30 W, and a current of 1.25 A.
