Irwin Industrial to distribute N2Power

N2Power, an industry leader in the design and manufacture of high-efficiency power supplies, expanded its sales channels in North America by recently signing a franchised distribution agreement with Irwin Industrial, Aurora ON.

A brand of Qualstar, N2Power offers ac-dc power supplies from 5W to 3000W, and dc-dcs from 125 to 275W within industry-specific series such as Medical -EN60601-1 approved, and Industrial DIN rail-mounted modules. Many N2Power products exceed 93% efficiency, increasing reliability and lowering or eliminating cooling requirements. Typical power densities are 15 watts per cubic inch, saving size and weight.

“With our focus on power train components for equipment manufacturers, N2Power was an ideal addition to our offering,” says Brad Jolly, Irwin product manager. “Also, JLT & Associates represents N2Power in Canada, so we have tremendous local support across the country.”

Randy Johnson, N2Power managing director, met with Irwin Industrial at EDS in Las Vegas in May to sign the contracts.

“Irwin is an established company with a very strong reputation in distribution. They have technical personnel with in-depth design-in experience. They have close and long-term relationships with many OEM customers and prospective customers for our power supply solutions. We are very excited to work with Irwin in providing both standard and modified standard power solutions to OEM’s across Canada.” Johnson adds.

Irwin Industrial, established in 1970, is an ISO9001:2008-registered supplier of electro-mechanical components and fasteners with warehouses in Alberta, Ontario, Quebec and New York.

N2Power is a division of Qualstar Corp., a leading design and manufacturer of tape library storage products and wide array of power supply products. N2Power specializes in the design and manufacturer of robust, quality driven, ultra small, power dense and highly efficient ac-dc power supplies. During N2Power’s 12-year history, it has met a multitude of OEM’s demand for explicit features and power requirements utilizing standard, modified standard or custom solutions for a variety of markets; including ITE, Industrial, Medical, Test & Instrumentation, Gaming, & Embedded.
