Health Concerns with Batteries

Intact batteries are safe, but caution arises when you are in contact with damaged packs that have spilled. Concern also exists when handling lead acid batteries; many are open and allow contact with lead and the sulfuric acid, which is extremely corrosive. Several countries label lead acid as hazardous material, and rightly so. Let’s look at the hazards if not properly handled.
