Family business continues as industry veteran passes

Darrell Vejprava, principal of Modern Tool Electronics in Calgary, passed away on June 16, 2014. He was 52.

Darrell built a career in electronics manufacturing, where he spent many years at Nortel, prior to owning his own business – Modern Tool. He loved the outdoors, spending lots of time at the family’s recreational property in Water Valley. An avid participant of kayaking in the summer and snowshoeing in the winter, Darrell was also known for building the biggest campfires.

Darrell is survived by his loving wife Kim and son Jesse, who will continue to operate Modern Tool Electronics.
