Fox expands international presence with Fox Electronics Canada

Fox Electronics announced it has expanded its worldwide presence with the introduction of Fox Electronics Canada and has hired Ross O. Weiss as its new Vice President North America Sales.

 

The expansion is in response to the tremendous growth in demand for its products that Fox Electronics has seen in the past year.

E.L. Fox, president of Fox Electronics, noted "Because of the strong response we have gotten on products like our patented XpressO technology, it is essential for us to continue our commitment to our customers and increase our capabilities even farther.  Expanding into Canada is vital to servicing our growing international customer base."


Weiss, who has over 30 years experience in the electronics component industry, will be responsible for interfacing with manufacturer representatives, managing key distributor relationships and coordinating sales engineers throughout North America as well as the promotion of the company’s continued growth and success.


He will also work closely with Fox’s engineering department to bring additional technological advancements, such as the next generation of XpressO, to market in Canada.

"Ross’s vast knowledge of the industry and experience with manufacturing representatives, distributors and OEM customers will aid in quickly getting our Canadian operations up and running smoothly to provide quality frequency control products to this geographic region," said Fox.


Before joining Fox, Weiss worked for the John G. Weiss Company as a Canadian electronic component manufacturer representative.  Over his 33 year career with the company, he served as inside sales manager, sales manager and distribution sales manager.  For the past 25 years, he was the president and majority shareholder. 


Weiss received his Bachelors of Commerce degree and honors in economics from Concordia University, formally Loyola College, Montreal, Canada.  He also attended   McGill University, Montreal, pursuing a diploma program in business.
