The National Instruments annual NI Week summer conference in Austin, TX, provides a great opportunity to indulge in the latest in virtual instrumentation and graphical system design.

But for the unlucky design and test engineers who can’t get out of the office for that event, luckily National Instruments brings a piece of NI Week to Canada every year.

At the November 2009 NI Technical Symposium day in Toronto, there was a terrific chance to check out “What’s New” in LabVIEW, LabVIEW FPGA, CompactRIO, CompactDAQ and even get a “hand-on” session with NI VeriStand. Click below to listen to Rick Ary of National Instruments describe the event.

Gold sponsors of the Symposium, PCB Piezoelectronics (www.pcb.com) and Virginia Panel Corporation (www.vpc.com), were there to answer questions about their TEDS devices and mass interconnect products.

Bronze sponsors ViewPoint Systems (www.viewpointusa.com), Averna (www.averna.com) and SCImech (www.scimech.com) were able to talk about their automated test systems and test data management software.
